Yep- that and the contracts/subcontracts some can pick up building back the infrastructure, doing weatherization projects, and building new energy plants/systems under the Economic Recovery Law...

There is a little for the SBA Sect 504 A) debit refinacing and B)Job creation goals.
Part A is a max of $35,000 and not too sure on the part B LOL
Most of the "grants" are to states and state run agencies. But then I have only read the first 2 sections before I had to go to work

And most of these projects these states use the money for- road building, bridges, weatherization of private and public buildings, levee construction, water system repair/building, irrigation systems, solar/biofuel/coal/wind generation systems will all be awarded by these states to private firms- which then puts more money to be spent into every small business from the front street clothing store to the hardware store to the corner bar and grill....

The Montana Governor a week ago appointed a person from his budget office to head up administering the program- altho some construction projects in this country will be held up a couple months because of the weather extremes of this area..

Yes, well we're getting the "change" that folks voted for....... chump change.

That stimulus package isn't meant to help anyone except large businesses so that government can control who/how much is made......... every government in the world is helping out businesses (only those too big to fail so that they can buy out the other small businesses) so that the whole world can become a "globally fascist economy".

Everybody has their hand stuck out but they don't want any of their programs cut and the rich don't want to pay the taxes for it. We probably wouldn't even need a stimulus package if the IRS would go after the businesses, executive, legislative and judicial branches who have evaded taxes and/or put their money offshore to evade taxes...............

Swiss bank UBS to pay 780 mln drs in US tax fraud probe
4 hours ago

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Swiss banking giant UBS has agreed to pay 780 million dollars to the US government and cooperate in a tax fraud probe, including naming scofflaw clients, the Justice Department said Wednesday.

"UBS AG, Switzerland?s largest bank, has entered into a deferred prosecution agreement on charges of conspiring to defraud the United States by impeding the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)," the Justice Department said in a statement.

"As part of the deferred prosecution agreement and in an unprecedented move, UBS, based on an order by the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority (FINMA), has agreed to immediately provide the United States government with the identities of, and account information for, certain United States customers of UBS?s cross-border business," it said.

UBS's agreement "to pay 780 million dollars in fines, penalties, interest and restitution" was accepted earlier Wednesday by a US federal judge in Florida.

"In light of the bank's willingness to acknowledge responsibility for its actions and omissions, its cooperation and remedial actions to date, and its promised continuing cooperation and remedial actions, the government will recommend dismissal of the charge, provided the bank fully carries out its obligations under the agreement," the Justice Department said.

Do you know that Phil himself is implicated in wrongdoing?

How is it "Phils" bank? He's a "Vice-Chairman" in one of four Divisions of UBS called "UBS Warburg".

I've been hearing of people "Stashing" money in Swiss Banks for as long as I have lived.

Again. What's this got to do with Small Business being left out of the Porkulus Bill?

Obama’s tax return for 2009 was just published

Barack Obama made $1.6 million dollars in dividends, investment and other business “income” from “foreign” (as in overseas) investments (providing foreign capital for foreign jobs some likely “exported” from the USA) and only made $12,000 dollars in dividends from US based companies, and even this was because he was the beneficiary of a Trust that made the investment decisions not likely Barack Obama.

In short, Obama invested in foreign companies not American companies and though he paid taxes on that income to foreign countries, those taxes created a credit (offset) against Obama’s US taxes to the tune of $59,000. Though this is legal and I have done the same, but to an exponentially smaller degree (not $1.6 million in income) it was he not me that lamented US taxpayers and corporations exporting jobs outside of the US and not paying their “fair share” of US taxes during the political campaign.

Do as I say Barry

obama's tax return:HERE

"There is no higher economic priority for President Obama than creating new, well-paying jobs in the United States. Yet today, our tax code actually provides a competitive advantage to companies that invest and create jobs overseas compared to those that invest and create those same jobs in the U.S. In addition, our tax system is rife with opportunities to evade and avoid taxes through offshore tax havens," a press release from the White House read.

The foreign tax credit (FTC) prevents double-taxation in a situation in which a foreign
government taxes the income a U.S. taxpayer earns abroad. But companies should not be able
to use the FTC to reduce U.S. taxes on their U.S. income. However, there are loopholes in the
FTC that allow companies to do exactly this. The President’s proposal would close two of
those loopholes.
