Does Cindy ever get tired of being insulted?

Apparently not.

“I was looking at the Sturgis schedule and noticed that you have a beauty pageant and so I encouraged Cindy to compete. I told her, with a little luck, she could be the only woman ever to serve as both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip,” he said to cheers.

Buffalo Chip has a reputation for that sort of thing. It holds a Miss Buffalo Chip contest every night, which is essentially a topless beauty pageant. And occasionally bottomless, too. During a drenching rain Wednesday night, the contest broke up into smaller groups and one woman wound up dancing naked on a bar top. Her boyfriend/husband saw her and angrily dragged her away as she struggled to put her pants back on and muttered something about how, "It's only this one week a year."

I laughed when I heard the guys at Buffalo Chip tell the story, but then I thought about the conversation I had with Pearl Gulbranson, who was working at the Crisis Intervention Center for domestic abuse, which is located in a house across the street from the Broken Spoke. Gather 500,000 people in one spot, feed them a lot of alcohol and there are bound to be some serious problems.

"We average three or four 'contacts' a night," Gulbranson said. "And a lot of women get abandoned here. They get left behind with no way of getting home. So we're here to help."

McCain tells a joke and you libs try to make a big deal out of it? You guys are really getting desperate, huh? It's gonna be a LONG three months while you libs watch your boy wonder spiral down the drain.

Clearly he hates his wife in particular and women in general. The only reason that you would make a joke about somebody is that you have to be biased against that demographic group and/or that person in particular. That's just the way it is.

It's the fact he's a man who is supposed to be bidding to run our country and he makes comments about his wife competing in a topless contest. Where is the professionalism in that?

The quote is WAY OFF! I was there. No contest like that happened on MONDAY night. Yes Monday night, not Wed. night like the article mentioned. No contest like that on Sunday night either. What McCain said was true, but the rest of it is BS.

Yeah, I geuss that's why they call them news "stories". You wouldn't really expect accuracy from the mainstream press even on something this simple, would you? If they might make McCain look bad.

The bigger question and it's not about Cindy.

Does fff ever get tired of stepping in it and having to eat crow?

Do you want him to just have no sense of humor, or to maybe clear his jokes with YOU first?

You might not approve of his jokes, but voters will almost always elect somebody that they like. They like candidates with a sense of humor. They DON'T like elitist, arrogant snobs like Obama who is always "outraged" any time somebody tries to tell a joke about him.

On the other hand, McCain is always one of the first ones to joke about his own age. He doesn't let those jokes bother him and people like that about him. The Dems have already tried and failed with arrogant candidates that nobody liked - Gore and Kerry most recently.

He should clear his jokes with me first!

Oh in this day and age not everybody likes the good ole boys club that smack each other on the back welcome to the real world where professionalism ranks high.

McCain is Old he can't argue that point. The only joke to me is how irrelevent some think that his age is. He's old, things slow down, a person gets feeble and pretty soon bring on the depends.

I guess you guys want some one to depend on for the county I just think you better be clear you want dependable not someone in dependsarefull.

So let's get this right.
You are afraid that someone might discriminate against Obama, but it is perfectly alright to discriminate against McCain because of his age.

It's a liberal mindset. They are into "do as I say, not as I do."

Not me I'm not afraid somebody is gonna discriminate against Obama. I think I'm being confused with somebody else.

As far as trying the age descrimination with me there are just as many others who think Obama is to young. Just my opinion that McCain is to old. I'm not sure what the to young age is to be president. I'd say thirties is to young.

You reckon these libs just throw their parents away, after all they are too old for anything.

Or could be conservatives and live off their parents successes and call them their own.
