Photos in the last 4 posts were all taken by DU staffer. I was impressed with the staff member, the report and the work. The only problem is that we take too good a care of our resource to get funding for anything. We can get funding for things that are broken but not to improve something that is working. That statement does not just apply to DU.
We are looking at using the report as useful marketing materials, good information, etc.
The DU perspective is pretty interesting, although somewhat narrow minded in certain aspects. For example, seeding my 60 acres of swath grazing to native will get me funding, however if I do that I will have to graze my native early in the season, hence the native will not be protected. They don't always take a whole system approach.
