am not one to oppose settled facts. and dont forget, not all here read every word of every thread. nor have all been here as long as others. lovely as it is that you engage, not all who read will. what is posted is for all to see and comment on or not.

as to the other comment, let me state this for those who may not be clear, my position is that good and evil is distributed amongst the sides. wonderful that you may wish to consider a candidate or a side captivates your interest.

fascism is left, as is communism.

Which is worse is not what worries me, but the shift towards the left will result in either or.

Best to stay away from both and remain conservative.

definitions of fascism vary.

some see fascism as an issue of class.

whether is it seen as left or right or neither, at the heart of fascism is nationalism.

at the heart of fascism is control by the government of the collective. It leaves little room for individual freedoms or liberties.

Nationalism is a tool they use/used to seduce the people. But fabricated nationalism is not the same as patriotism.

Patriotism is more individualist and nationalism is more collectivist.

Would nationalism suggest bigger or smaller government? And does liberalism or conservatism believe in big government?

i like this one:

The word ‘Fascism’ is almost entirely meaningless. In conversation, of course, it is used even more wildly than in print. I have heard it applied to farmers, shopkeepers, Social Credit, Corporal punishment, fox hunting, bull fighting, the 1922 committee, the 1941 Committee, Kipling, Gandhi, Chang Kai shek, homosexuality, Priestley’s broadcasts, Youth Hostels, Astrology, women, dogs and I do not know what else... almost any English person would accept ‘bully’ as a synonym for ‘Fascist.’

I used the one you presented, and showed how none of the issues can be claimed by any one existing party in this country...

I read your comments after it and it looks as if you are chasing your own tail ..

do you have a point?
