Say r2, what do you think kinky's real motives are ?surely he dont think he can win this thing ?Texas is full of minorities,I doubt seriously "one" will vote for him, democrats wont, he is against every thing they stand for,and TX Republicans are loyal to the party...............good luck

WEll I won't be castin my vote for Rick Perry that's for sure. He's the one behind the whole Trans Texas Corridor deal, linin his pockets, and lettin a company from Spain come in (if it goes like he wants) and we'll have toll roads all over the state of Texas. The woman, and I can't remember her name right now. She's the State Treasurer is in on it too. Chris Bell so far has my vote, he's plannin on puttin a stop to these huge roads and all the farm and ranch land they'll eat up in the process.

I have not heard of anyone that will vote for Kinky in our area. OF course it is majority Democrats, and I do think he lost it when he became an advocate of legalizing marijuana. I will say he is a charachter for sure.

I will also say that I have never liked Rick Perry, and he has done nothing he preaches he has...the budget for Education has not been there since he got in office, how many times do we tax payers pay because they do not get a balanced budget, having that special called session, and then hold our breath that school will start on time? All this lottery money that was supposedly to finance our schools? where does it all go???

This woman that calls herself "Grandma" I am listening and seeing what she has to offer. They are to have a debate coming up soon.

It defenitely will be a interesting election year.

Thats my pennys worth...lol whatever it is worth and yes I know that ain't much

How many middle aged overweight strippers do you know??

We did have a few beers however.
You need to think outside the box! As we mature and reach what I call the "buffet appreciation years", we all like to get a little more for our money.

Ever been to the Spot bar in Plentywood, Montana. :drink: :drink: :cowboy:

Remember Big Muddy- we're kind of an "end of the trail area" for everything up here....And some of those "gals" I've seen following the stripper trail up here may not even qualify for "middle age" classification anymore...

lilly- Take a look at the post I just put on Political Bull...Looks like a couple of the Congressmen took time from stuffing their pockets and having gay affairs and are finally starting to take this thing serious- since its opposed by about 75% of the nation......

Thanks Oldtimer for postin that in Political Bull. Has our community in an uproar here, town meetings goin on just about ever tuesday night. They were saying that the 6 mile wide strip of land they'd grab up from Houston to Dallas (and that's only one of about 5 or 6 spread across the state) would basically gobble our lil town up. This is a place you don't hafta lock your doors at night, your kids can ride their bicycles around town without worryin that someone will Knab yer kid. Fairly a drug free community. "m not sayin our lil town is any different that any of the others in the path of this proposed highway, but after the highway that they plan gets built, they plan on puttin hotels, motels, gas stations, and resturants between the north and south bound...in that huge six mile gap......which I'm sure in the long run would end up being, apartment complexes, subdivisions, etc that they'd sell back to homeowners in 10 years or so.....it aint right. no way shape or form. NOt to mention all the agricultural land they'd ruin that would no longer be productive in supplyin Texas and the nation with food and clothing. Why they started this in Texas, I don't know......but they are gettin BIG opposition from the public. So far Rick Perry hasn't done anything he said he was gonna do for this state, he's had two terms to get it done, so I say git rid of him and get someone else in here that'll do for the state and not for himself.

Lily...don't feel like the Lone Ranger.

There is a proposed highway going across N. GA from East to West to link the top half with " hot 'Lanna" ( Atlanta)

It will prob take out our little hole in the wall town also.

Hwy 59 has been designated the I 69 Corrider...and they are already tearing out the little towns and building on top of them. Shepherd, Texas is GONE! everything that was along the South Bound side has been torn out and under cement now. They are clearing out as they go. I have heard about this Interstate deal all my life, but now they are putting it all in motion. Supposedly this connects Chicago to Mexico. Our little town at first just wanted it to happen, to build the economy..now they are starting to see the monster it really is. Another waste of tax payers money is the building of Permanent Weight Stations...they had just built a real nice road side park, probably cost close to a million to do. Guess what, now they tore it all out and putting a fancey modern permanent weight station in. The road side park didnt even reach its 2nd birthday before it was gone.

It is scarey and I agree with Lilly on this deal, I am seeing it going on just a little to close to me.

I did not vote for Perry the last time and will not vote for him again. He is shifty and you can see it when you meet him.

Another pennies worth of what I think ! Hope I don't overcharge myself for those thoughts.

I hate to say I told you so but about a year or more ago, Lilly brought this up on this forum, and I replied that you better be worried and all I got was a bunch of crap from the other posters about how this stuff will never happen, I replied that we are dealing with wolves against our will, and those in texas will be puttin up with this highway against their will unless people take this serious now. IT IS PAST TIME TO BE SERIOUS
