It has become evident the past few days why the lefties are so big on the messiah. The y really are after the health care aspect because they are in dire need of meds to control their anger. Each issue they go off the deep end and make wild stupid accusations and they can't even offer condolences to a woman who had died without going over the line. Poor things I fell sorry for someone with so many inner demons. No wonder they can not see bamers over the line friends when they are over the line themselves.

I don't think it's right. I think every American is given the right to vote for whomever they feel can lead this country in the best manner. Race has nothing to do with how well a person can lead a country in my opinion.

True but why are so many from the left calling anyone who supports McCain a rascist?

Grasping at straws? I think the race card is to easily played in this modern society we live in. Not just with African Americans but with other nationalities also. Pretty soon whites are gonna be the minorities.

Not grasping at straws, just stating what happens in the real world> Obvious to anyone who keeps his eyes open. I hear it or read it numerous times daily.

Unfortunately, this election isn't about who can lead this country best.

Election polling that I saw showed that race played a lessor factor both ways in the race...It showed two of the major negatives toward McCain was his age- and that voters tied him to being another George W. Bush...

Obama got 95% of the black vote. How the hell is that a lessor factor and not racist?

Got me, maybe folks lie...But they said fewer said race played an issue to them then did McCains age- and the fact they saw him as just an extension of George Bush....

I know those and the fact of of his 25 year history of being the biggest in the pocket of Lobbyiests Senators turned me off to him...

As the pundits were talking tho- his dollar value to the Lobbyiests has probably dropped greatly now- as he's thrown many Repubs and coworkers under the bus- and slapped several in the face during this campaign- and his influence and power in the Senate will never be the same...

The beginning of the end? This will either wake us up as a country or begin our downward spiral as the most powerful and greatest country in the world. I'm not kidding. I just heard the Messiah say change is coming on TV. God help us.

Jeeeze, OT, 95% of one race goes one way and some clown says race was a smaller deal? What kind of an idiot believes that? You're dang right people lie. Some of you folks just elected one of the biggest liars Washington has ever seen. I've never been so flipping disgusted and disappointed in all my life - and I mean that sincerely. What a bunch of non-thinking gullible morons.

Heaven help us all.

I'm done.

I'm with Sandhusker--very disappointed in how this turned out. Really thought common sense would prevail. Guess we'll just have to hold on to our hats--gonna be a wild ride I'm afraid......

On the bright side, at least in western iowa we're going to keep good ol' Steve King in DC

This may be true, however, Obama used the race card to get alot of votes himself, he recieved 100% of the black women votes, and hispanic and minorities also, so you can't say this election wasn't about race, because it was. He also went and got alot of the minorities registered to vote, before the election, which ensured him their votes too. I hope he can do a good job as President, and keep maybe a few of the things he promised. I still feel though that whoever is in charge can not be blamed for all the world problems. President Bush has been used as a scapegoat. It will be interesting to see what Obama can accomplish.
