New Zealand has announced it is removing all remaining restrictions on imports of Canadian beef and recognizes Canada’s consumer safeguards are equivalent to New Zealand’s. While New Zealand is not a significant market for Canadian beef, this announcement, from a country considered free of BSE, is a strong endorsement of Canada’s food safety measures.
