I took french from about the time I was 4 years old (waste of time) until I was 16 and than again a bit in college. Fluent? Not hardly... I went to Paris in 92 and was able to get by a bit but really never was able to speak it very well. I could hear it/ read it and understand but could enver think in french to speak it well.

The last time I took french I got an A on the oral final but that is only because I had one horrendous cold and it made my accent perfect. The person I did my oral exam with was stunned... How did I learn to speak so well in 1 week... I than sneezed and she understood  Actually, it was the studying my arse off for a week that really helped.

Red Robin I will try to interpret this for you.

Little Angus was ordering a burger at the local diner and they simply asked him if he wanted cheese on his okra, :D and if he wanted a side of live cockroaches or fried cockroaches. Sorry I just couldn't resist bringing that back up.

have a cold one

Went to university in Quebec, played football, learned how to order a beer and swear in French. Other than that, 12 years of Ontario school French doesn't do much. Tell you what though, some of the stuff the government does these days makes it worthwhile knowing how to swear in more than one language.

 Don't need any roaches on my okra LA. You might like a roach in your okra though that way you wouldn't have to eat any. Hey, have you tried that hot pepper relish ?
