Ethical question

Let's suppose a Communist country was to award you a medal for whatever reason. This medal was made from the metal from a military aircraft of your home country where your troops were killed.
Would you accept this medal or for that matter would you associate with people who would accept this medal?

If I even qualified for an award from the commies, I think I'd ask my best friend to take a baseball bat and knock some sense back into me. Clearly, I would of screwed up terribly somehow.

Politician's answer...and one that I, at this point, can't find fault with. However, there's a trick to this question.

Maybe there is a trick alice. But this is about ethics and there are some posters on this forum who don't seem to have any.

I would not accept the medal. If it was supposed to be a token of appreciation, it is an insult instead.

Doesn't the Magic Negro's BFF and American Terrorist who bombed the Pentagon William Ayres wear a ringmade from material of an American aircraft shot down over North Viet Nam?

I'd call that treason, but OT, KooKoo, and tri f would say it wasn't.

You nailed it loomix.
The funny thing is alice would not answer the question. Just a simple question and she wouldn't answer. It tell me a lot about her and even the other libs that stayed clear of the question.:

Bernadine Dohrn made numerous contacts with Fidel Castro's Cuban Mission at the UN in 1968 and 1969, during which time she arranged for SDS groups to visit Havana.

After returning from Cuba, Dohrn and others met with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong representatives in Budapest, Hungary, to discuss antiwar strategy on US campuses. Speaking a few days later at an assembly of revolutionary student movements at Columbia University, Dohrn reported that the Vietnamese communists she met in Budapest were working with US GIs in Saigon, attempting to obtain military information.

As a gesture of solidarity, the Vietnamese who Dohrn met in Budapest presented her with a ring made from an American aircraft shot down over North Vietnam. Bill Ayers would receive a similar ring while meeting with Vietnamese communists in Toronto. He later recalled being so moved by the gesture that he "left the room to cry." He said, "I realized...America was an evil... and that I was... living inside the belly of the beast...."

And yet they will still vote for obama. No wonder obama is mum on his past and current friends

They don't care, Larry, they simply don't care. Obama could be ritually sacrificing chickens inside pentacles of candles and they would claim that he just liked natural poultry. Ayers, Wright, Rezko, what a bunch of stellar individuals. Associating with either one should shoot him out of the saddle, but they just look the other way. They don't realize that you associate with people that you agree with. So, by proxy, the libs are siding with Wright, Rezko and Ayers. They're siding with racists, crooks, and terrorists. I guess that's the "change" that they seek.

How come none of you libs want to answer the question.

Not truly sure if I am a lib or a con - I tend to follow the person rather than the party - but ....

A long time ago a whole bunch of people I did not know - and in many cases I still do not know - fought their way 40 miles or so to come and get me - I do not remember - I was in a sleep induced by an RPG. They then fought their way out and today, I am here - nearly 34 years after the fact.

Nothing like souvenier hunting for bits and pieces of a fellow countryman!

You make me a gift out of something that came from one of my buddies or a piece of his kit - you better be ready to scrap - and this scrap will be dirty - real dirty - and it will go there as fast as I can make it that way.

I believe that to wear this and claim to be a citizen is a treasonous action.

I believe that to make / manufacture this type of object and then claim to be a citizen is a treasonous action.

I am also certain that there are many in North America that will not support my thoughts on this.

An indication that social re-engineering is not only successful, it is winning.

Probably I could be considered small "c" conservative on this issue.

Where's the proof to back this up other than lip service from you and some weak link?

Like proof would matter a bit to you? Ayers has admitted to setting bombs and he recently said that they didn't do enough! This doesn't matter to you, why would anything else.

I wonder if any of our medals awarded today are made in Communist China or India? Just curious
