Even Ranchers like some horsepower under the hood

Sometimes we can take out our frustrations on the track. I live in a mixed farming, ranching, commuter community.

He is a local character that can create a living and enjoyment out of very little. Pretty smart guy and a good neighbor.

Here is his ride. He has a bit of an advantage as his tractor is still used for work. All the rest of us have to find ways to keep ours in tune.

Wish I had one of those umbrella's. Got a bit too much sun.

Hey, thanks for posting those pics! It reminded of a new hobby I want to try this fall at the local fall fair. Looks like a lot of fun, and I'd kinda like to see what my old 1486 ih is capable of :???:
Say, that ole JD with the shack on it isnt an 80 is it?

It sure is an 80. Runs like a sewing machine. He still pulls drills with it. His dad bought it new. My card got full on the camera or I could have given you a pic of a showroom condition 80. I beat him 399' to 398'4" with my Massey. Here is a sweet 60 that will be pulling at the Calgary Stampede this weekend.

That is a beautiful looking 60. Thanks for sharing, but we need some pics of your Massey as well :)
I'd like to have an 80 some day, but the price on them seems to keep going up ahead of my ability to pay for one :?

Thanks per! :D That looks like a great hobby. I remember as a boy waking up listening to a neighbour a mile away plowing with his 80, and going to bed and falling asleep to it. I always hoped I'd end up with that tractor but it disappeared after he died and I don't know what happened to it.
Looks like the old 55 puts out pretty good.
