Great pictures. I didn't realize they were building a golf course south of Valentine. The golf cources have really sprung up south of Mullen.

I've always liked the country around Valentine. If I recall correctly, the photos on the Powder River calendars were always taken around there.
I really appreciate big grass-covered hills. MMMMMMMMM. Nice.

Thanks for the aerial shots.

Cool different perspective from above! Thanks for packin' your camera on your trip. I've seen the veiw from mountain tops lookin and checkin cattle but never from a plane. Golf courses!!!!! Get a rope!!! Those things are worse than noxious weeds... they never go away once they sprout up.

Jassy- That golf course didn't used to be a feedlot did it ?
My old friend and former neighbor had about 1500 calves in a Nebraska feedlot on retained ownership- and the feedlot owner up and ran off with some gal, deserted the feedlot, and he lost about 500-600 of his calves....And a major lawsuit ensued....

When I asked him what he was going to do with a Nebraska feedlot if he got it- he told me "turn it into a golf course, cause I definitely ain't running no feedlot"...So I was curious...

Except I think when the banks got thru, their was little left to the producers...

That winged horse makes for a pretty quick check on things doesn't it? Always wanted one but the way I am with maintainence I'll pay the neighbor when I want to see things. :) In the fall when we're gathering I may fly 8 or 10 times, an hour in the air can save a weeks riding. Thanks for the tour.

Nice aerial shots, Jassy. You are lucky to have pilot in the family. Looks like fun. Glad you got landed before dark, because the moon doesn't amount to much yet.

no this wasn't a feedlot..it was good prime grasslands that some DR. had bought yrs ago and never did anything with it,,no management at all,, so the grass wasn't as good as it should of been,,,it's located right on the ridge of the snake river..them golfers have to have a view ya know...it is also right next to one of our pastures...so we'll see how good of neighbors they'll be...lol
