Seriously, the left is invested in "saving" pampered rodeo stock, but they'll never utter a word of complaint about real cruelty.
When I went to college I worked at the salebarn. I went to the university of Kansas in Lawrence Kansas. There's a valid remark that Texas is a great state except for a 40 acre commune in Austin - ya, well it's like that in Kansas maybe worse. I like ribbing jiggsey about the Kansas state taters, but I'd much rather my kids grew up to be drunken heathens than commies. So I worked at the sale barn in Lawrence, as much to resist the culture of the college as to make money. I saw 3 guys wearing laundry, maybe table cloths, perhaps even towels, on their heads. They had bought a goat, a little goat, and they hung that goat on a tree at the edge of the property and butchered and processed him right there. And the dogooders didn't say a thing. I bet if I hung a hog up there for processing, I'd have gone to jail.
