Exciting news: The House just passed—and sent to the Senate—a balanced budget.

I’m proud of my colleagues for working together to write and pass this budget.

Our budget balances in ten years, and today, I want to ask for your help.

The House Republican budget will:

foster a healthier economy and help create jobs
protect and strengthen priorities like Medicare
pay off our national debt
President Obama has missed the legal deadline for submitting a budget—again—and Senate Democrats have, finally, proposed one. But there’s a catch.

They call their budget a “balanced approach” -- even though it never balances. Ever. Instead, it takes more from hardworking families to spend more in Washington. It’s wasteful -- and irresponsible.

Sign our petition and tell Harry Reid to pass a balanced budget now.

Stand with the House Republicans in supporting our balanced budget.

Thanks for your support,

Paul Ryan

Reid is never going to allow Paul Ryan's budget to get to the floor of the Senate. If anyone wants to know why nothing gets done in Washington they need look no further than Harry Dumba** Reid.

Ryan's budget rejected in Senate on 40-59 vote

By Ramsey Cox - 03/21/13 08:52 PM ET

The Senate rejected House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) budget Thursday night.

Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) forced Senate Republicans to vote on Paul’s plan through an amendment she offered, which failed on a 40-59 vote.

GOP Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Dean Heller (Nev.), Mike Lee (Utah), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) voted with Democrats against Ryan's plan. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), a prospective 2016 GOP presidential nominee, voted for Ryan's budget.

Really it would be more of a shock if air head Susan Collins didn't vote with the Dems. Can we just admit she is a RINO.

Not sure the motivation, but she is "co-sponsor" on an amendment to require the President and his administration to partake in obamacare exchanges, (they are exempt, so far). Which makes sense, seeing as it is the most "elite" type of healthcare.
