Fracking has never been proven to taint a wellwater supply anywhere.......

The wells that were drilled in a coal bed in Colorado and Pa. that the homeowners ignited the water at the faucet was from methane gas, a natural contaminant in coalbeds.

Had nothing whatsoever to do with Fracking..........................

Lisa Jackson quote: "I'm not aware of any proven case where the fracking process itself has affected water, although there are investigations ongoing," she said.

the President's decree gives the federal government the ability to shut down gas production operations as they see fit, potentially leading to government price fixing and centralized control of an essential natural energy resource.

I have been angry with all the treasonous acts up to this point. The thieves have robbed our bank accounts, destroyed the values of our homes, left many homeless, many without jobs, and many will likely go hungry with impending inflation. But I'm having the most trouble with this because of the full ramifications that are surely to occur. The recent gas and oil boom was our single ray of hope and now the thieves have returned for it as well, our hope. This is truly a dark force.

It is past time we get the state militias organized and protect the private citizens and private companies. You have to draw a line in the sand somewhere and we passed that point.

The noose is just going to get tighter and tighter. I never dreamed of seeing these socialistic headlines coming from my own Country.

Too much power, too much corruption. I pray that people's eyes will be opened and their minds made to understand. This act will be fatal if left uncontested.

Exactly. There is enough domestic natural gas to power us into the next two centuries. Compressed natural gas in your vehicle beats the electric cars all to hades.

Where is Obama on this? He is still in outer space.

What's happening - a few thrifty Americans are compressing their own and running their cars off of it. No road taxes for them! Oh NO!!!

How can those Dems let them get a way with that? Their whole need is to control people and tax them and then tax them some more to ensure they are paying taxes on the taxes being charged.

Well, perhaps some will wake up and some won't. One can already see from some of the remarks made, they think nothing of the government stepping in and controlling..... since when did the USA become Cuba? Gas was going to plummet over 70% but thanks to Obama they'll stay high. Since our local news keeps bombarding us with news from the state of fruits and nuts, gas is now $5.79 gallon in Death Valley, CA

NEWS BRIEF: "Executive Order: Federal Government To Take Control of Domestic Natural Gas Production", SHTF News, April 16, 2012

"While Americans focused their attention on the Colombian controversy involving U.S. Secret Service agents, prostitutes and excessive drinking, President Obama quietly signed his latest Presidential Executive Order."

Americans are so easily distracted that a number of key rogue events have now occurred as the public was distracted by another news story. In this case, what better distraction than the titillating story of sex and prostitution by the President's own men?

What does this newest Executive Order accomplish?

"The Supporting Safe and Responsible Development of Unconventional Domestic Natural Gas Resources Executive Order seeks to create what amounts to a Presidential super committee that will oversee the regulation and development of the 'unconventional' natural gas industry for the purpose of ensuring a long-term natural gas supply for the United States, as well as to do so in a safe and environmentally responsible manner."

This next segment reveals how completely down the road to Fascism America has traveled.

"While natural gas production is carried out by private firms, and States are the primary regulators of onshore oil and gas activities, the Federal Government has an important role to play by regulating oil and gas activities on public and Indian trust lands, encouraging greater use of natural gas in transportation, supporting research and development aimed at improving the safety of natural gas development and transportation activities, and setting sensible, cost-effective public health and environmental standards to implement Federal law and augment State safeguards." (Emphasis added)

Do you remember the definition of a Fascist Economy and how it differs from a Capitalist Economy?

"Capitalism is that type of economy in which private individuals own the Means of Production, i.e., the factories and the mines. The companies founded by these private individuals then compete openly with one another in the Marketplace. No one tells the owners what to produce, or how much to produce, or how much to charge. Competition is the primary determinant of prices, and careful attention to the needs and wants of the people within this type of economy determines how much is produced. Capitalism may have its faults, but it has produced the highest standard of living in history for her citizens. "

"Fascism is the economic system of Nazi Germany, National Socialist Italy, and Imperial Japan. Today, only Japan retains this system. In Fascism, private individuals retain control over the Means of Production, thereby ensuring that the key element which makes Capitalism work so well is kept in place. However, the Government intervenes to control how much is produced of any item, how many competitors can be making the same item, and how much they can charge. Therefore, the potential for the most profit lies within the Fascist economy! The experiment with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan proved that Fascism does work. We have seen that the proper coordination between Government and Capitalism does work." (Quoted from Cutting Edge Headline News Article, NEWS2317, entitled, "Financial Coup Completed: American Economy Now A Tightly Controlled, Severely Regulated Economy")

Not only can the President of the United States now fire the CEO of a private company like General Motors, but he can now force the "unconventional gas industry" to bend their activities to his will.

This Executive Order comes at just the time when Market Forces are close to dropping the retail price of gasoline and heating home products and diesel by the same 73% drop as Natural Gas has plummeted, thanks to the new production of shale processing plants (Read full details in NEWS2469, entitled "Gasoline falling to $1.13 per gallon?!").

Therefore, this new set of regulatory powers will probably prevent the price of gasoline from dropping like Natural Gas prices dropped. The President has tipped us off to the real goal of the Illuminati, and that is to support high gas prices, even though the Market cost has dropped dramatically.

We can only hope that the next President -- should Obama not be reelected -- will suspend this Executive Order so that gasoline prices can plummet.

President Obama deserves to be defeated in November simply on the basis of this Executive Order alone!

Well then lets just let the major energy companies lease gov't land and obtain the gas and sell it on the world market, maybe we can subsidize them while they do. O'Reilly "citizens own the federal lands and therefore the resources it contains" (paraphrased). Is that what everyone wants?? Maybe the gov't should have some input,I doubt any of us could get an audience with any of the major energy companies. But I am not so sure anyone could without a lot of money or political influence.

Is the Federal government the only place that the citizens have input? What about state governments?

I would like to think that state gov'ts would be more kind to the avg.american than private corporations as long as they(the state) would be in control--therin lies the problem, imo. But Federal lands belong to the population and not the state where they are located.

Around here the State has opened up thousands and thousands of acres of state owned land for leasing- and at lease rates much cheaper than the going rate on the deeded land.. Which has upset some land and mineral rights owners who think the State should not be undercutting them and making their leases worth less...

Damned if you do- Damned if you don't !

Why might prices on deeded land by more?

In one breath you complain about the price of commodities, like oil, and then in the next you advocate for increased costs of production.

many of the majors are not overly involved in the natural gas well drilling/fracking.. it is a larger growing group of small midsize and yes some larger corporations.. but not really the majors

why subsidize them? if there is not profit in the operation,. then maybe it shouldn't be done yet...

but why hinder them and outright shut them down?
