Amazingly enuff, as small as she is, she has no problem throwin the goat on the ground, heck she throws calves when we are workin em. She's a stout lil bugger too, ya don't wanna git in a wrestlin match with her, she can twist and squirm loose, has lots of muscle in them lil arms n legs LOL
When we get feed for her heifers, a ton at a time, she unloads her fair share, and totes square bales to her horses.
Closest weight room is about 25 miles from here. But I don't think she'd much get into that tho. LOL Guess we could always fill up milk jugs.....

Ok I found my sheet of paper from the Auction, with the prices of the other animals:
Grand Champion Swine - $4000.00
Grand Champion Lamb - $2250.00
Grand Champion Goat - $2000.00
Grand Champion Turkey - $1750.00
Grand Champion Rabbits (3) - $1900.00
Grand Champion Broiler - $3000.00
Grand Champion Sr. Food Prep (cake) - $650.00
Grand Champion Jr. Food Prep (cake) - $1600.00
Reserve Steer - $5000

Lilly those numbers tell me you have alot of fine folks in your area,it always amazes me what the grand champion steer sells for at the San Antonio stock show and I hear Houston does better...........good luck

I don't remember what year it was, but I remember watchin the Houston Steer sale on Television.........it sold for $640,000...........but the kid only gets like $60,000 of that and the rest goes into scholarship funds for other kids (not necessarily ones involved in animal showing).....that's one reason I don't want anything to do with showin an animal in Houston. I think that if a kids animal sells for that much, they should first ask that kid what college they are goin to, and what degree they are shootin for, at least pay for the kids whole college......At Texas A & M, $60,000 won't do it.
