I agree with JB, Nicky.

You keep posting pictures, and I will never tire of looking at them.

You have a nice part of the world to live in.

That country reminds me of where I used to court a Girl I Fell in Love with and married....Well, a Little east of there. Different than Joseph, but has a Beauty of its own,

These are sure a different look of Oregon than I imagined...luv it! Those red bushes remind me of a red plant we have around here called sumac...(sp?)...except ours really don't grow in a bush like..they grow more in clusters over the ground. Kind of hard to explain...maybe the photo will help.

Jassy, we have sumac here too. The stuff is hard to kill but adds nice color in the fall.
Something else that is pretty in the fall is poision ivy. We have a couple trees that are covered in it and it is bright red too.

Yeap we have sumac and poison ivy and oak here. Those are about the only things that do turn a perdy color in the fall besides those sweet gum trees LOL
Even tho so far in life none of those have bothered me...I try to stay away from em if I can. Almost impossible tho when it's growin up nearly ever fence post and tree around.

Thanks everyone, glad you enjoy the pictures as I sure have fun taking them :) Just trying to catch up to Soapweed!

We have Sumac here too but thats not what these are. My neighbor calls her sumac her 'elk' tree because it looks likes antler in the velvet.

Yeah, most people picture western oregon...lot's of trees, rain etc when they think of Oregon.

Nice Nicky. Very pretty country. Our sumac are different here than either picture. Ours gets from chest high to 15' or so high. It is that blood red color . I don't think our poison ivy turns dark red but it might . I'll have to look. Our sasafrass is hunters orange right now . I haven't noticed them turning that orange before. We have a few maples that really put on a nice show. Our prettiest falls are when the oaks are vivid. Usually our oaks just turn a shade of yellow or orange or red, not too bright then fall off. Some years though they get pretty vivid and it's a nice show.
