Neat looking barn, how sturdy are they? I'm wondering with the wind we've had the last couple days how it would stand up?

Yep-- thats the ones I'm thinking of then...Been looking at one myself...

I know of a couple around here- and I was shocked after our terrible hailstorm a couple years ago-- with 80-90 mph winds that turned hayfields into plowed fields--damaged every house and vehicle in town, and did $40,000 damage on the neighbors house-- these barns were standing undamaged...I could hardly believe it- I figured they'd be torn to shreds....

i think the round roof helps the wind slide over it instead of pushing against it steady

Not sure if the brand is the same, but there are some of those at Cammacks at Union Center SD. I was surprised at how well the small one attached to a frame building, then to a larger one at the other end. They have been there for a few years, at least, the larger one has, and looks in great shape.

Friends not far from us had one go through a hail/wind storm last summer and it got maybe a couple of holes, when their house nearby was pretty badly damaged. I heard the hail seemed to bounce off the fabric, which makes sense.

They look like a good deal. Heat, cold, wind, nor snow seems to damage them like it does typical buildings. Frost heaving foundations seems to be a real problem in our area, even when well built to proper depths.

Helped the neighbor put one up about 8 years ago. Believe it is 30 x 80. Same setup: posted four foot side wall, but the closed end was strictly the fabric with some wooden framing. One end is open.No floor.
Its built on clay ground and is totally unprotected from winds. He stores hay in it and hasn't had any problem with leakage or anything that I know of. Been a real good investment so far.
