Hey everyone, I'm baccccccccccck!
Won't have time to post pictures for a few days tho, as we
are moving all the stuff out of the house in Spearfish as it sold
(unless something happens on closing) and we close Dec. 4.

I took 600 pictures...
so I have to go through them to see what to post.
I swam with the dolphins and that was really an experience
for this land lubber!!!

I must say tho, I we had a bad experience at the Comfort
Choice Hotel that we stayed the night in, in Ft. Lauderdale...
it was dirty!!! And we wanted to print our boarding passes
to check in at the airport the next morning...well, they wouldn't print (the help said they'd been having problems with the computer
AND the printer was out of ink to boot and the help
said the ink cartridges were locked up  ...so even if they would have printed, there was no ink. There was spilled coffee and coke by the
one and only computer in the place. I went to tell the people at the
reception desk and they did nothing about it. Everyone was so RUDE, from the shuttle drivers to the reception people!! Then we felt that we
needed to get to the airport earlier to get checked in and get our
boarding pass and the shuttle that was to take us there, was very LATE!
There were more people rounded up in that airport than I thought
could possibly get worked in a day...but somehow, I got on the plane...
and got to Denver in time to catch the plane to Rapid City. I'm still
amazed that happened.

Moral of the story: DO NOT STAY AT COMFORT CHOICE HOTEL near
the airport in Ft. Lauderdale...in fact, we are both going to call corporate headquarters. Probably won't do any good, but at least we will have
had our say...

We did take an Airboat tour through the Everglades the morning we
got to port in Ft. Lauderdale and saw an alligator...saw some in
captivity, but we also saw one in the Everglades...and we went to
Flamingo Park and that was really worth seeing.

All in all, it was a very interesting trip. I'm ready to stay land locked
for the forseeable future tho...14 days on a cruise ship is just, well,
too much...for me anyway...

It's good to be back!!!

Welcome back ya ole coot!!!    Glad you made it back safe!!

Why did you sell your house in Spearfish? :!: Wasn't that your "vacation" house to South Dakota

Oh..haha and you swimming with Dolphins kinda made me giggle! I didn't know you could swim Faster!? When my folks came to see me I took them to the coast down by Corpus and I nearly lost both of them as I went across that big bridge from Corpus to Rock Port....they invented a new shade of white. Land lubbers definantly! haha

life jackets, ya know.

And I'm sure you've needed one a time or two... :p for one
reason or another...

Wyoming Rancher--what did they find in your saddle?????
I'm DYING to know.

Welcome Back FH!!! We missed ya'! :D

As for the saddle, when they built it, they pulled the strings through the tree, and made a recessed trough for them to seat down into. As you can see from the pics, the strings loosened (you can see how much slack they took up), and bunched up underneath the sheepskin, just enough to be a problem. It was an easy fix, and THANKS to you, my problem may be solved!!!! :D

Now, I'm heading out the door for my vacation... this is the one where I have to wear a formal gown      . Catch you next week, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the welcome back, WR.

And thanks for letting me know what you found out about your
saddle. It's great that you WANTED to know what was causing
the dry spots on your horse. Not everyone wants to know those
things.

Me, I have an inquiring mind. :p

So good that you found the problem and it was an easy fix.
Your horses will sure appreciate it!

Welcome back F Horses. We were considering taking the canal cruise or one to Aruba for our next cruise. What cruise line were you on and how would you rate it? Personally, I don't know if I will take another unless its a Princess ship.

Pretty dresses, darling girls/ladies, nice BOOTS!!

And the cruise I was on was the Coral Princess. They did a very nice
job, I was well satisfied. I saw things I never figured I'd see in my lifetime. Now that I'm home for awhile, I'll post a few of the 700 pictures
I took. What I need to know is...what happens if I download 700 pictures into my computer? Should I put them in a folder so I don't slow my computer down, or will it matter?
