Hey everyone, I'm baccccccccccck!
Won't have time to post pictures for a few days tho, as we
are moving all the stuff out of the house in Spearfish as it sold
(unless something happens on closing) and we close Dec. 4.
I took 600 pictures...
so I have to go through them to see what to post.
I swam with the dolphins and that was really an experience
for this land lubber!!!
I must say tho, I we had a bad experience at the Comfort
Choice Hotel that we stayed the night in, in Ft. Lauderdale...
it was dirty!!! And we wanted to print our boarding passes
to check in at the airport the next morning...well, they wouldn't print (the help said they'd been having problems with the computer
AND the printer was out of ink to boot and the help
said the ink cartridges were locked up  ...so even if they would have printed, there was no ink. There was spilled coffee and coke by the
one and only computer in the place. I went to tell the people at the
reception desk and they did nothing about it. Everyone was so RUDE, from the shuttle drivers to the reception people!! Then we felt that we
needed to get to the airport earlier to get checked in and get our
boarding pass and the shuttle that was to take us there, was very LATE!
There were more people rounded up in that airport than I thought
could possibly get worked in a day...but somehow, I got on the plane...
and got to Denver in time to catch the plane to Rapid City. I'm still
amazed that happened.
Moral of the story: DO NOT STAY AT COMFORT CHOICE HOTEL near
the airport in Ft. Lauderdale...in fact, we are both going to call corporate headquarters. Probably won't do any good, but at least we will have
had our say...
We did take an Airboat tour through the Everglades the morning we
got to port in Ft. Lauderdale and saw an alligator...saw some in
captivity, but we also saw one in the Everglades...and we went to
Flamingo Park and that was really worth seeing.
All in all, it was a very interesting trip. I'm ready to stay land locked
for the forseeable future tho...14 days on a cruise ship is just, well,
too much...for me anyway...
It's good to be back!!!
