Fawn Calf Syndrome

Heres a video you might want to look at...Its a Fawn Calf Syndrome calf and it was posted by a Vet from Australia that is researching this disease- which he believes to be genetic and possibly/probably connected with some certain angus sires semen imported from the US...

He knows some of the sires its connected to- but this stuff has been held pretty close to the vest due to not wanting to falsely accuse someones expensive herd sire before more is known (lawsuit)...
But its definitely something to watch for- so the info can be obtained to root out the carriers....

Here is one discussion site with a lot posted on it- also Cattle advantage has a long thread about it...

We have had a couple calves in the past 2 weeks that look and act like that. The vet tech is clueless as to why. Most of them have died but 3 still walk funny and on thier pasturns. They are still smaller than the others. Since all of ours are bottle fed that is not an issue.
So what I am doing as I always do when do not know I go search for the answer.
Could these be FCS? or is it something else?
Thanks OT now you have me doing more searching. :D
