morbid as it is, I fear that something could happen to my son.

I saw this news piece where a car was hijacked and a child was in the car. The child attempted to jump out of the car and got his leg stuck in the seat belt. The boy was dragged to his death. Honestly this visual (chopper cam) has haunted me to this day. It still gives me night mares and was something I really feel should NOT have been shown on TV. Imagine his poor mother having to re live that over and over.

That is my worst fear

Judith---I am with you, sister!! My biggest fear (and one that kept me awake many nights when I worked at the prison) was that of having something happen to my kids!! I will never forget the day the 10 year old (who was only 2 1/2 at the time) let go of my hand for LESS THAN ONE MINUTE one day in the wal-mart on bozeman!! within that one minute span, he had simply DISAPPEARED!!! Panic took over, I cried, I yelled (all the while trying to NOT go into labor with my youngest) when a very nice young lady asked me what was wrong! When i told her that my son was "gone", she wasted NO TIME in paging overhead for a "CODE ADAM"....the entrances locked down immediately and the search was on!! Within minutes, Flint was found.....IN THE LADIES LINGERIE SECTION (go figure....like father like son  )!! I could not thank that young lady enough!! Yep....cried like a baby when MY baby was found...safe, sound, unharmed and thinking he was pretty funny with all the fuss he made!!

I was shopping in Wal-Mart when a Code Adam was called..as it was going out over th speakers I saw a little girl crawl behind the sacks of dogfood on the shelf!!! Caught the attention of a worker,so she was caught and handed over..don't know what happened from there, but they would have neverfound her..

Being a mother and now a granma, for sure my biggest fear is something happening to these children and grandson of mine. That being said I totally understand what your saying OD/NT. I work almost daily with Alzheimer patients and thier families and its by far ,to me,THE saddest infliction there is. They totally loose thier spirit, and the families loose thier loved one. This I fear!!
