It is the mountains FH we are far away from the mountains now. We have just big hills around us. Where we dairied we could see the mountains in the distance and you just get used to the beautiful view. I love the area we live in and it is really pretty to but there is just something about the mountains.

Now the only real time I get to see them is when I do the 2 hour drive to our vets in Sundre to get supplies once and a while.

I just like to combine the great view of the mountains with a nice relaxing vacation in the hot springs :) .

We have some nasty weather in the forecast for this week starting tomorrow if it makes you feel any better. Don't forget that Alberta broke records and was the coldest place in the world last month.. :help: We just are not very consistent when it comes to weather.

I'm wondering what GCreeks pictures have to do with Fairmont Hot Springs. Is it the mountains? Are you far from the mountains, hillsdown?

I am always surpised when us here in Mt. SD and Neb. put
up storm pictures and it isn't storming in Alberta. How does that
happen when some of our worst storms are called Alberta Clippers?
I'm just curious
.

The moisture from this storm came up from the California/Mexico area- strung out clear across the country- then split- with half moving east sucking moisture out of the Gulf of Mexico-pouring mostly rain across the mid section of the country- and is now over the east dumping buckets of rain from Georgia to New York--The other circled back over parts of Alberta, SK, ID, MT, WY and the Dakotas in a counter clockways spin- and gave us a full fledged blizzard...
That thing has spun over the top of us all weekend- and is still here dumping snow...
This storm pretty well touched almost every part of the country in one way or another...

When we were in W. Mt. for 18 years, we lived not too far
from Fairmont Hot Springs. We golfed there once and maybe
ate there once. Seems like when things are in your back
yard you don't take advantage of it.

We lived not far from the Hole-In-The-Wall west of Kaycee,
Wy and I've never been there. Mr. FH has, as his grandfather
took him fishing there quite a bit. I'd like to go there now.
I've never been to Glacier National Park, either and I plan
to see that before I die. It's a shame we never visited the
park when we lived in W. Montana. Too busy making a living,
I guess. Or having fun...

It would be a 14 or 15 hour drive from Fairmont to here. There is a hot spring not too far out on the chuck from Bella Coola. No, I haven't taken the time to go there.
