One would think that outhouses would make better neighbors than
fences.

H could probably build a stone/ brick S**t house from the rocks he digs out of the hole. :D

H, I've barred a few of them post holes in the past, and on the same ranch I pounded a lot of steel ones. I often wondered how many posts were considered a good day when they origionally fenced it with split cedars. Myself, I was pretty satisfied if I could look at one nice box corner, installed between chores, per day.
I sure enjoyed the picture tour; I don't get to visit the "home country" very often, and I envy you that chance, but I have been enough nice places, and met enough nice people, I have concluded that taking off a wet hat at sundown, in the company of people you love is mighty satisfying no matter where I happen to be.
Keep on keepin' on...

You and your family lead a great life, Leanin' H, and I love your attitude. We are all very proud of you and your accomplishments. It is inspiring knowing you, even if it is only over the internet. :)

If I may share your post Soap, that is about all that needs to be said.

H, I am honoured to be one of those you call friend. :D

Wet hats for young ranch people kind of equates to wet saddle blankets for young horses. They are good for all involved. :)

I'd be remiss if I didn't offer the disclaimer that I had reached that conclusion a while back. But it was reached about 15 years after the wet hats were noticed, which is a while back. It is still the best way I know of to end the day.
