LOL thanks ya'll, as Jassy stated, she knows I don't have a green thumb, and she's right. I don't have good luck with flowers. I don't know what those are called, but this time of year they come up everywhere. They aint wild flowers, but they reproduce from a bulb or tuber of some sort, and come up year after year. Mr Lilly's grandma could grow anything, and these were out by the road in front of her house. They come up and before you even know they've come up they bloom, last a few short days and then are gone again until next year. I do have some of them in my yard that I transplanted, years ago, and bleave it or not they do come up and bloom too. Only things I can get to grow are the things that don't need any attention whatsoever.

Jinglebob, that's the problem, we don't have a whole bunch of hay. we are sooooo far behind on our hay crop that we are fixin to bale a pasture of whatever's out there, in the next few days. More just so that the cows can have some roughage, and we'll put out the syrup lick, and supplement with feed thru the winter. Hopin that we have a mild winter with lots of rain so that the grass keeps growin. (crossin fingers and sayin a lil prayer) Still possible with the rains we got over the weekend.......lil over 5 inches total, that we'll get another cuttin of hay. Sure would be nice.

Amen sister!

Sounds like here, but there ain't gonna be no more hay. tho' if we have an open winter, we should have some green to go with the dry grass that is left over.

Only problem, if we have an open winter with no snow, we need a lot of rain in the spring, to fill the dams and water holes.

I am not only keeping my fingers crossed, but I got my toes crossed too!

Sure is making it tuff to walk around tho....

Ever try to pull your boots on, with your toes crossed? :x

Great pictures, as usual, Lilly. Those red flowers are sure pretty. Around here we have a similar flower only it is pink, not nearly as striking. They call 'em naked ladies. I know there is another name but for the life of me I can't remember it !!!!

In a forest or not it looked like it made hay. I need to get started on my last cutting. The nights are down in the 50's so I guess not much more grouth. It ain't going to be much of a cutting but a skimming is better than nothing.
