Is that hay that you fed some of the old hay in your yard or is it this years crop? We also are blessed with lots of goats. Nice ranch country if the wind aint blowin- thanks for the pics.

Those cattle are our coming two year old heifers, and they are standing on some purchased new barley hay, and the other hay rolled out is this last years crested wheatgrass. We didn't put up much quality hay last year, but they seem to eat it all up.

Any good hay we have, was purchased.

Tap....thanks for sharing your pictures...they're magnificent!!! I especially like the last two. Your country looks a lot like my folks' winter range in Northwestern New Mexico--the major difference being that they don't have antelope, but their deer and elk more than make up for them.

Cheers---

Yes lazy ace, we started that fort so as to be prepared if anyone ever wants to take back this country from us. You want to come over and pitch in for the good of the state? :)

Haymaker, these pictures are very recent. It has been very nice weather here for the most part. Today is going to be real nice too. We will need a good shot of rain later. Winter snows in this country usually blow around till it wears out, and doesn't usually have much moisture in it anyway. Not till March at least.

Tap of course I will help out for the good of state. :D I will be over as soon as I can cross our mote. The drawbridge won't lower all the way, I think our winch needs repair. I'd swim but I am a little scared of the big Northern pike we have in there. (Plus I can't swim to save my arse.)

Thank you. I would like to see some pictures from your part of the world. Do you take any?

FH, I agree about the winter droughts, but I hope they don't roll over into summer droughts. :?
