Man I'm gad I ranch where I do. :D

We had to get a neighbors bull out of the pasture today so we picked him up with two pair across the highway at a junction and down the road to a gate. NO traffic at all. :D

BMR, it has become a zoo around here. Moving cattle requires signs and pilot cars in many cases. The Sheriff's will come and "supervise" on major roads. Mostly to cross a major road it is easier to load them and drive them across. Both our farm and ranch are (at least for me) off the beaten path a bit, a few miles anyway. I took some equipment to my sisters place the other day. It took about 25 minutes to get across the highway. Maybe it would be good to live were you do! :?

Oldtimer, I assure you we were in Alberta. I might have my facts wrong here but I think the Sheriff's morphed out of the old Highway patrol. They have been around for a few years and have guns that the Highway patrol guys didn't. We still have RCMP and local municipal officers as well. Not short of law folks and emergency response personal here.

I usually eat at the Hotel but the guy that builds the coaches opens a little burger stand for a few weeks in the summer. I was waiting for one of his while snapping pics.

Great pictures Per. Would that be the Longview Saloon?

Yes it was, there is a pretty good little cafe in there as well as the wildlife zone. For some reason the bikers and the cowboys fit in well together, maybe the free spirit gene.

Your welcome Soap. Those are Hirshe Adams cattle that I drive by often and they always remind me of you.

I suppose when I check cows tomorrow I will get that photo for you or maybe I could just go take one of his place as well. The coffee is pretty good there. Not sure what color to call the horse.
