Had to press the indoor facilities into service to pull a backward offering. It was pretty cool out this morning hence the weather proof clothing. Fashion has no place on the farm when it is cold.

I would have give you heck if I had known you were calving outside and still chasing flies (er... sorting pairs) out of the maternity ward. :wink:


That is the best part of pasture calving, no herding baby calves.

Do your cows ever lose weight? :p

Yes when they calve they drop a quick 100 lbs or so. :) They aren't going far and my wife did most of the work. They only go when they travel well otherwise it gets deferred to the next day. My scourguard is separation. They get spread over a few miles keeping the sickness risk low.
