24 ft Gooseneck Flatbed Trailer. This kid paid for all the materials for this trailer all on his own(right at $5000) . He and his dad have a custom hay baling business and he'll use it to haul his tractor to and from hayfields. Lil Lilly painted the biggest majority of the trailer. (She's the official painter in the crew LOL )

This is a Hay Feeder for feedin Square bales. Lil Lilly did most of the welding on it, and painted it. Along with helping build the wooden box on the bottom, that's there for the sole purpose of catching what hay is dropped.

1st Place in San Angelo
1st Place in Houston. Lil Lilly nominated for Showmanship.

This is a Mineral Feeder. The buyer specifically ordered it built this way because it'll be used in his bull pasture. It's super heavy duty.
He wants three more built by the end of the school year.

Oh I"m fine......still not maybe 100% but I'll make it. Hardest part about it, is not havin the energy to keep up with them. That flu really knocks you back.
We had a great time with the kids......but Im SOOOOOO glad to be back home. Im not a good motel dweller LOL Absolutely hate not sleepin in my own bed.

Jassy you are right about the kids building things. As the award ceremony started, the Rodeo President done an opening lil talk. He'd been around all three days....walkin and lookin at projects..talkin to kids about their workmanship etc. He said....these kids are buildin bigger and better than anything you can go buy. Whether it was a feeder, a cattle guard, a entrance gate, or a big trailer. The workmanship on all the projects is above and beyond what anyone would expect. These are our future Ranchers, welders, designers etc. They all (kids from all over the state) done a super job. I have some pictures of a cattle trailer. Our kids will be buildin one next year, similar. I"ll post them in another thread. Horseshoer wants the kids to build it for him. So....at least we know what one project is for next year already LOL
