Well as promised.....here's a few pictures from our kids FFA Shows. We went to San Antonio first. Then on to San Angelo. Back home for a couple days then on to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The kids did real good in showing their projects.
Off to the shows!!!
24 ft Gooseneck Flatbed Trailer. This kid paid for all the materials for this trailer all on his own(right at $5000) . He and his dad have a custom hay baling business and he'll use it to haul his tractor to and from hayfields. Lil Lilly painted the biggest majority of the trailer. (She's the official painter in the crew LOL )
2nd Place in San Antonio
1st Place in San Angelo
2nd Place in Houston
This is a Hay Feeder for feedin Square bales. Lil Lilly did most of the welding on it, and painted it. Along with helping build the wooden box on the bottom, that's there for the sole purpose of catching what hay is dropped.
2nd Place in San Antonio
1st Place in San Angelo
1st Place in Houston. Lil Lilly nominated for Showmanship.
This is a Mineral Feeder. The buyer specifically ordered it built this way because it'll be used in his bull pasture. It's super heavy duty.
He wants three more built by the end of the school year.
1st Place in San Antonio
1st Place in San Angelo
1st Place in Houston, 1st in Class in Houston too!!!! Woo Hoo. Along with the purple ribbon for excellence.
Here's their prizes they got in Houston for 1st in Class.
Took the kids bowlin one night. (That's Mr Lilly tryin to pick up his spares  )
Tractor Row...sure was some nice refurbished tractors there.
LOL A sign in Junction, Texas.
Scenery along the highway in west Texas.
