fff, never heard any responses from how you felt once you found out that Gas Prices had started rising under Bill Clinton's last year as President. So much to the point that Al Gore was calling for us to sell off our Strategic Reserves on his campaign trail to help bring relief to Americans.

I know news like this is shocking for you, since you do not read about it in sources like the Huffington Post. Figured you have had some time to let this shock and confusion settle in so we could discuss it now?

No, I'm through with you. You blew a lot of hot air, postured, and blew. When I called you on it, you refused to admit that you had said these things:

From the Stop Oil Speculators thread:

OK, A+. Let's be clear what you're arguing about here. You said:

But can you admit that Clinton Signed the legislation that allowed the Speculators to manipulate things? Can you admit that Clinton signed the legislation that combined investment banking and commercial banking that led to Subprime mess.

and

Quote:
Come on for once accept some blame on Clinton! The facts have been showed you on how Clinton started a lot of these messes. Rather Bush corrected them does not change that Clinton signed the legislation that set things in motion.

I responded

What "bad" thing happened under Clinton? Let's find out what you're talking about. Specifics, please.

So before I get into this, are you talking about the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act? Is that the bad thing that happened under Clinton? Are you saying that it led to the subprime problem we're facing today? And that Rubin left the Administration soon after the bill was signed to take over Citicorp is proof that Clinton sold out to the bankers?

I'm just trying to keep up with your wild accusations and ramblings. ---

So, why should I choose to discuss something that YOU say you want to discuss now. When I back you into a corner (and I will), :D you'll just refuse to answer again.

I have answered you questions many times, If you can not read that is your problem, I have many times listed the bad things Clinton did, one was the repealing of the Glass Steagall Act, one was allowing terrorist to attack us multiple times, one was not going after the terrorist that fled to Iraq and Jordan after the first WTC bombings, one was cutting military spending so the next President had to spend to build us back up, one was cutting his budget the next to last year to appear to balance it, but then increase the budget the last year so it would shift the spending onto the next President who had to operate under the Clinton Budget but people like you would think it was Bush's Budget (fiscal oct to oct). One was not allowing any drilling so that now we could have more local oil instead of importing it. Another was letting the EPA make regulations tougher that increased cost to consumers. There are many bad things Clinton has done.

But that is ok I have no problem with you being through with me, but just remember Gore wanted to sell strategic reserves back in 2000 because Clinton had not developed an energy program, at it was starting to show with the rising gas prices, that have continued until this day!

Hurts when you find out your Hero was to blame for so many things huh?

So is that a yes or a no to the questions that I did my best to pull out of your ramblings?

Ssshhhhh I better go back out and mess with pigs, you are a bigger pain in the butt than them

You asked me what bad things Clinton did and I listed them more than once for you.

If you are referring still referring to the Glass-Steagall act, yes I say it opened the door to the Sub prime mess we have today.

I am not sure what more you want from me, now I have to go beat my kids pigs to take out my frustration from talking to you! :x

fff? Still no response to the fact that Clinton got us in an energy crisis and that gas prices were rising so much at the end of his term that his VP Al Gore wanted to sell off the Strategic Reserves to help curve its rise?

Here is another side point for you to ponder fff, Clinton slowed down the filling of the Strategic reserves to cut spending then in 1996 and 1997 sold off 28 million barrels of oil from our Strategic reserves in a non emergency sale to help tweak his budget. Once Bush took office he had to replenish it. All Clinton did was push off an expense onto the next President. Can you call him Slick Willy?

fff..........you still not interested in discussing how and why this energy mess all happened under Clinton's watch? Why Clinton sold off strategic oil reserves, why things were so bad with gas prices that Al Gore said we needed to sell off Strategic reserves a second time?

Another question that comes up, did the oil companies have Clinton in their back pockets? Gas prices were out of hand then, and now you fell it is Bush's fault and Cheney for being oil men. So does that mean that Clinton was in their back pocket also?...........Come to think about it, wasn't Clinton the one that allowed all those oil companies to merge and become the Power houses that they are today?.........Now we know the problem, Clinton sold out to Big oil, and we are paying for it dearly today!

I know gas prices are a sore spot for you, so has learning this changed your opinion of Clinton?
