The weather boys are saying the weather patterns are changing (finally) and we have now a chance of getting moisture...Too late to help the guys that have been ordered by BLM or forced by lack of water to get off pastures by Sept 15-- some have until Oct. 1 if the water holds out...Price of hay is jumping daily- and a lot more this year are getting 3rd cuttings on the river bottom....
But a good 3 day soaker or two would sure help make all that old dry crested wheatgrass and stuff a little more palatable......

THE RESULT FOR NE MT WILL BE A PROLONGED PERIOD WHERE THERE WILL BE CHANCES FOR PRECIP...A PATTERN WE HAVE NOT HAD FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WHILE NO ONE TIME PERIOD REALLY STANDS OUT FOR PRECIP AT THIS POINT...THE STATIONARY NATURE OF THE UPPER LOW WITH SW FLOW ALOFT...AND COOLER AIR LOW LEVEL AIRMASS IS FAVORABLE FOR SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL. THERE ARE LIKELY TO BE A SERIES OF SURFACE WAVES FORM ALONG A COLD FRONTAL BOUNDARY THAT MOVES THRU FROM THE NORTH BY WEDNESDAY. FORECAST LIFTED INDEXES INDICATE FEW IF ANY THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED...IT WILL MOSTLY BE SHOWERS...BUT AT TIMES EVEN STEADY STRATIFORM RAIN WITH SPECIFIC WAVES.
