Not sure why it took so long for Trump to realize that Comey needed to be fired but better late than never. The man should have been fired last July when he had the presser and explained how Hillary broke the law but was not going to have to pay for it like ANYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE. Obama would not do it as he was happy or giving the order to clear her so she could run and win the election to protect his legacy from Trump's ink pen of dismantling forces. Trump should have fired him as soon as he took office but for some reason he kept him on so Comey could dig an even deeper hole. Which he did not disappoint with the Huma's email deal that again resulted in NO CHARGES.

Ron Wyden, calling for Comey to immediately be summoned to testify to Congress about the status of the Trump-Russia investigation. Rep. Adam Schiff of California, top Democrat on the House intelligence committee, said the White House was "brazenly interfering" in the probe.

This is only the second firing of an FBI director in history. President Bill Clinton dismissed William Sessions in 1993.

There was talk this morning of how Comey came to be head of the FBI. The head of the FBI, Ashcroft, was ill and in the hospital. Someone was sent over with documents for him to sign to find an acting director. Comey is 6'7" and stood outside the door and wouldn't let anyone in. He said if he wasn't the guy chosen, then he would resign and it would be worse than Watergate. Comey has quite the past. I doubt if we have heard the last of him.
