Worst picture of the 5108 calf. Little stretched out.

My one and only bull calf out of the smallest heifer I've got.

The 5108 heifer. Meant to be a 2007 fall calver and turned into a 2008 spring calver. She's almost 4 by now.

My 623 heifer.

Side profile of my #5108 cow.

As you can see, we're getting a whole new power-line system out here. Enjoy!

They do make some good mamas out where I live. Another thing that I appreciate is how large the genetical base for them is. That really helps out when trying to improve a cowherd. I also have a couple crossbred cows. Even have a blue one! Not a very large genetic base for them! :D

I thought, when I saw your pics, that the "dead" center of your Colorado looked as "dead" as the center of our place. We must be neighbors, judging from the last picture. We are 10 south of Rush. You can PM me if ya wanted to.

Cattle look good mytfarms. Would look even better if we would have had any decent moisture this spring and early summer. Post a photo of your blue cow if you have time.

Thanks for sharing your photos. :)

OK, Triangle Bar, we'll do! I may even take a picture of her today. Lots of freezing wind and a layer of white on the ground this morning. I reckon that winter is here in force! It's funny, though, I'll have to post a pic of the green grass around our house covered in cold white stuff.

I must say, I really liked Colorado, didn't really want to leave. I was there for 3 weeks. I did my mobolization training at Ft. Carson before heading to the Sandbox. A few of us flew our wives out, last chance to see them. A buddy and I, with wives in tow, rented a car and went up to Denver, stopped at Sheplers, REI and Ruth's Chris steakhouse. The land navigation course was interesting, unlike any other I've done, I'm used to doing it in the woods. Not in open desert (but not flat) with points so far apart. One thing that sucked was when rain came in, all the roads turned to nasty mud. Iraq was kind of the same way.

Oh yeah, nice cows for black hides.
