Well....this is the first time in Lil Lilly's life that she's ever gone to school anywhere but in our small lil K-12 school all in one building school. She's takin two dual credit, college classes in the neighboring town. She's already called me (before classes) and said "they are all circlin like buzzards, what do I do?" Naturally, I said, "RUN!!!!" haha no I'm kiddin. I told her to git on to class, and git it over with. She'll meet new friends, along with probably some that she already knows from County Fair and such. She'll do fine. I'm sure she'll call and let me know how it went on her way back to her other classes here in our lil town.

Well she survived. Had to swich her out of Ag-Mechanics. Because she needed Chemistry, and Spanish. But that's ok with her, she can still be in FFA, and show her projects. Although I don't know what the Ag teacher will do, because he lost his top two welders their senior year. Wouldn't have had to happen like that if they'd have scheduled her better her first three years of highschool. But she seems so excited about this year. LOL I remember way back when I was a senior too. ......just don't seem possible that my baby girl is gonna graduate this year.
Oh...and there's a whole 6 kids in her senior class. We thought it was gonna be 7 but two of them moved, and we gained 1.
I spent 8 1/2 hours on the tractor today. Uhgggg.....not a cab tractor either. Sure is humid after all the rain we've had. But it wasn't bad hot, long as I kept movin, and Mr Lilly was nice enough to bring me some ice tea this afternoon.

That's a good idea taking a college class along with high school. I guess Lilltle Lily wanted some advance credits but it helps them also see that college isn't much different than high school- they just have more freedom. One of our boys did that. He wasn't very excited about college probably out of fear he couldn't do the work but after taking the college course and seeing he could handle it, he (eventually) went to college after a stint in the Navy.

I remember not so long ago a cute little girl with wild hair hustling me at the pool table! It is tuff to know that she's a senior already and taking college courses...but the world is ready for an ambitious young lady and she'll fill the bill.

This last weekend was a big one for me too,,after 2yrs in Cheyenne at college, my kid transfered to KSU..and we were there for his first day...yes being the mom that I am...I took pictures,,secretly...ya know didn't want to embarrass him, so I stood across the street behind some bushes..lol

Megan started college in the city on Monday too-we were on the way home from a rofdeo and missed her-I thought we'd meet them along the way since there's only one road south out of here but we passed in the twilight lol. Probably just as well Dad isn't good at good byes-I called her and her first day went pretty good.

Ha Ha..oh you guys are funny...lol When he was little it ticked him off when I'd take his picture on the first day of school each year...but he's bigger than me now,,so I have to play it safe..lol I'm sure the other students were wondering too why this blond lady was standing on the street corner behind a bush taking pictures too, gee hope I didn't make them nervous! .lol I'm from the country...the bush had more cover than the street post! lol...

Well Jigs,,,since we picked him up that first morning from KSU...I'd like to believe that it is his first choice of a major degree...and Aggieville will be his minor...lol He got a job already at the horsebarn riding colts...so that'll keep him busy!

Pappa Rotsi...lol to funny Lilly...and yes I taught him to look bothways before crossing...wasn't always cars though,,sometimes it was tractors, pickups and trailers,,then there was the alleyway with cows! lol

My eldest granddaughter is a senior this year, too. Hard to believe...or to face! She lives in city 8 hours from me, so don't see her often. She started taking college courses last year and is taking three more this year. That is great because it saves big bucks. She wants to be a veterinarian. Not sure about that choice, as she hasn't had much experience with large animals and is pretty tiny, but muscles can grow and determination makes them able to do more than seems possible, right????

Second grandson is off to Votech, too. Most of the local schools are going now. I liked it better when they didn't start till after Labor Day!
