I suppose I shouldn't mention we almost broke the record high temp today-- (72 was the record) got to 71 at the weather bureau north of town...Down here on the river I saw 74 once today   :p

But as normal- springing cows all over the place, but not one calf came today- too nice.... Supposed to turn cold tonite with rain and possibly snow- highs tomorrow supposed to be low 40's...Guess when they'll start calving :???:

They're predicting snow for us tomorrow night through the weekend, but the way it looks outside right now, it could be here already! :? :( I have so been enjoying the nice weather......... :?

Nice cool white pictures. At least it doesn't look like the wind is blowing in your photos.

It was hot, dry, dusty and very windy here today. There was a bad prairie fire fifty miles south of us, caused by a hot bearing on a bale processor.

I just drove up from Hussar in that crap for 8 hours lol. Didn't gp tpp far from your door on the back way to Stettler.
Well the grandson lives in Stettler,so could have met you at Tims for a coffee.

Must have been a crappy drive because I just got home from town, driving seven miles was heck,my windshield wiper gave up the goat too so that made it just that much more pleasant...grrrr

Wait a minute...What back way to Stettler? If you went down 36 to 53,ummmm you were ONLY half a mile from our place...you could have had coffee here :? :p

No we went straight north of Drumheller up to Stettler then zigzagged our way up to Highland Feeders to check out my fat cattle. They were a bit taggier than I like but look like they gained good. Fraser's sale was pretty steamy-the Horned Hereford bulls averaged close to 4,000 and were lean and mean. The Blacks were just under three but one Straight Canadian bred sire group dragged the average down-I had a pretty stiff order for 5 bulls and only got three bought. My buddy bought a real good Hereford bull and we checked out his momma and grandmother this A'M-had to seartch in the hills a long time as the cows are still grazing out down there.
