First Frost Here This Morning!

[Faster horses]

Heel fly, how was the sale? I planned to go, but not in that weather.
Stayed home in the nice warm house. But I was wondering how the
sale went. Coup has gotten most of the traders out of the sale and
you can get a nice horse there, I think. We got one last Sept. sale.

It was most definatly a buyers market. There were some good horses go out with n/s because the highest bid was 900-1200. These were horses that I thought should have brought from 2-3500. The top selling horse made me scratch my head a little but to each his own. Boy if you wanted to start a nice set of broodmares you should have been there. Some nice mares went for really cheap. Like 300-900. At one point in the sale I literally was sick and walked out. I know of 6 people who bought their own horses back so as not to n/s. Lets just say I wouldn't sell there, but I would sure go there to buy!!!!

Mornin', everyone! (yawn, stretch....... :lol: )

No frost here this morning, but yesterday it bottomed out at 22*........a neighbor down the way said he had 19*.......gettin cool here. Guess the old timers weren't joking when they said there are 9 months of winter and 3 months of late in the fall, here....... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Oh, well, we should have known....... :roll:

Sure wish our wood pile was in better shape, though........ :?
