First home grown grape

Don’t it just make your mouth water for a grape off the vine? This is my grand baby having her first home grown grape.

We had her first birthday party yesterday. I will post some pictures when I get them in the e-mail. I got as much cake on me as she did.

She's a doll.

I know good n well there aint not grapes in December......but was wonderin what kinda grape it was. Some you planted, or is it a wild musckidine. My daddy n law sure does look forward to them gettin ripe...he'll pick em and bring em to me to make jelly out of.

You're a good grandpa, Alabama! I can hardly wait to see the birthday pics, and you with more cake on you than she has on her........... :wink: :lol: :lol:

I am still waiting on the birthday picks from her mother but as for the grape...

They are scupanons (SP) and some huge ones. I think they are called "fryer"(SP) and you can buy the vines but this one was given to me by a friend years ago. I also have another kind but they ain't this big.
We try to make wine every fall but missed out this year due to dry weather and very few grapes.
