I'm gonna gather up a bunch of empty Crown Royal sacks and tie them on the bulls this year so we don't have anymore frozen nuts. I'm trying to figure out what kinda of knot will hold best though. Don't want it too tight or I'll defeat my purpose. Any ideas?

One that might be appropriate is the Crown Sinnet knot. It would be innappropriate to use a Cow Hitch, or a Sheepshank. For sure, don't use the Sheet Bend, because you don't want to bend the sheet.
