The 257-167 roll call in the humbled House concluded close to 11 p.m., with 172 Democratic votes and only 85 Republicans, fewer of their own conference than GOP leaders hoped for perhaps, but more than enough to clear the necessary majority to send the legislation to President Barack Obama’s desk.

“This vote is a very clear indicator that Republicans are not running Washington, D.C., that Democrats are still in charge and we’ve still got a lot of work to do,” said GOP Rep. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, who represented the historic freshman class as one of its two leadership representatives in the 112th Congress.

They gave obama what he wanted, just as I suggested they do. It was his plan, cause he is "TOPDawg", with all the power, remember?

Did you notice that the "conservative Senators, did not vote for the plan?

In fact, if the conservative house reps. stick to their principles and the liberal members vote for the plan, it should pass.

Allowing for the liberals, both Repub. and Dem., to take credit for saving the US from economic collapse.

I hope they do take credit., because it is not going to turn out the way they are selling it.

republicans could have done this and not stomped on their principles but it looks as if we now have a complete list of the RINO's..

I actually expected our local RINO's to vote in favor of the deal.. so I wasn't surprised when the all got in step behind Obama..
