Yesterday Mr Lilly and I spent the biggest majority of the day repairing two flood gates. When we had all the rain, and the water was rushin thru there it looked like they had washed completely away. Well, after the water receded, we could find the cable and tin all strung thru the trees and such. Alot of trees and debri washed thru there. we have two flood gates...about 100 yards apart. Two seperate creeks come into the property and promply join together. Between those two creeks the fence was totally pushed over from the force of the water and all the junk.
Still have some repairs to do on the fence, but at least got all the junk out of it, and the posts stood back up. When it gets a lil dryer, we'll hafta go in and rebuild the fence.
Here's the one picture I got to take....LOL I was busy wadin across the creeks..totin hammers, wire, etc. so this is when I was in the truck...with the tow strap attached to the bumper....attached to the cable...truck in reverse...pullin the cable and tin back up to where it's supposed to be.
Note the H brace that was put in last summer, that washed up.... :?
