Agman, can you tell me what percentage of consumer food dollars are spent in the grocery store in comparison to the restaurant and/or prepared food outlet?

Agman, can you tell me what percentage of consumer food dollars are spent in the grocery store in comparison to the restaurant and/or prepared food outlet?

Retail sales continue to account for the largest percentage of sales although that lead has narrowed considerably during the past twenty years. That trend has now stabilized. The most recent data I am aware of places retail at 52-55% with the other at 45-48%. Thanks for the question.
