We are about 200 bales short to keep all of our calves but there is some local hay available at a decent price. Just have to decide whether we sell/donate a load or buy hay.

Yeah, that crap that's windrowed there is just dandy. Stupid kochia weeds.....had to be cut down so the calves didn't get lost in it :roll: and/or fill up with snow. :x

Well, cows will eat it, Cal. Better cut than standing.
In the winter, the cows here do like it alot.

But then again, here we don't have those beeeeeautiful meadows like they have in Canada.
