This mornin' we took another swing lookin' for strays. Sure had good help! This young man is a little camera shy but knows his way around horses and cattle. He raises great quarter horses that have lots of cow and turn into wonderful ranch or arena ponies. This horse he had today is 4 and slicker than snot on a doorknob. Mr. Pehrson was a welcome addition to the roundup! :D

Rick is a great neighbor and friend! (only sayin' that incase he logs on tonight!) His Palomino comes via Pehrson Horses and sure has an awesome rear quarter. Rick runs with us in the pasture our cows strayed from.

This guy is usually right in the way! His cows are hardheaded and like to go places they shouldn't. And today he let his best friend/wife pack the camera a while and she snapped this shot! Atleast he's good for gettin' the gates!!! :D

So i stole the camera back and got her followin' me up the trail. She cussed me a little cause she was in cowhand mode and knows i'll be puttin' her on the Ranchers site. She was hurrying this early a.m. and wasn't all dolled up, but she is as pretty as ever to this cowboy!!!!

A scenery shot as we rode along. It's getting dry in the high country and cool. 40 this mornin' as i saddled up in the full moon light.

Bought my sweetheart a saddle last christmas at A.A. Callisters in Salt lake. It's a Rockin R and works well for what she does. She doesn't rope and likes flat country with not a lot of rocks. I do too but the cows don't cooperate much!

We found some cows!! Now were cuttin' into bunches to haul in five different directions. This shot sponsered by Ford trucks and WW trailers! Send the check to....

Dang wife takin pictures again! And she caught another Holstein graft to boot! That's Tooele, Utah, our county seat and the Great Salt Lake in the background.

Some getting off the bus shots at the rest of the summer retreat we shipped em' to. This is a 1st calf heifer out of a cow i bought a couple springs ago. The cow hurt her hip on the truck during the trip home from winter range, but she had a pretty calf i liked and the price was right. Her calf has become a nice cow. I thinks she's going to be a nice moderate framed cow that puts depth on her calves. Her bad-hipped momma was last spotted with two buns, lettuce, tomato and onion!

We love this cow! She weans gorgeous calves every fall and is a calm, mellow cow. I'll take 500 more just like her! Plus she's 4 for 5 on steer calves until.....

Her calf this year!!! She will stay around here a while! :D

They are heading for the cedars to escape the flys and reunite with their peers.

An update on our growing family around here. This little dude is one of eight new chicks and he popped his head out for a look as we were putting away the poines. By Thanksgiving he will have to watch behind him! Maybe Easter
