The funny thing is, Obama's speech could have been titled the same as the program Fox ran. "Lie To Me"

FOX's Brilliant Business Move: Ignore Obama (NWS)

It seems Fox made the smart move by deciding not to air president Obama's 100th-day press conference. The network beat every other broadcaster, all of which were carrying the president's speech, in the ratings. Fox's new episode of Lie To Me drew 7.9 million viewers.

Fox also got millions in advertising revenue by running a normal TV program instead of Obama's commercial-free address.

In second place for the 8 p.m. hour was NBC's airing of Obama's speech, which pulled in 6.7 million viewers.

Are people finally getting bored with Obama's frequent speeches?

You guys are absolutely pitiful. Pitiful.

OK FOX got 7.9 million viewers for their regular programing. NBC got 6.7 mil watching Obama's speech. How many do you think watched the speech on ABC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, and the other networks? If you add those up, you'd see that the speech was watched by a much larger audience than FOX's show.

So, no, I think the answer is: No, the American public is not tired of listening and seeing President Barack Obama. :D

Obviously 42%, since his first press conference, didn't think it was worth watching!

President Barack Obama’s press conference Wednesday night drew 28.8 million viewers across 10 networks.

Last night’s telecast, airing on ABC, CBS, NBC, Univision, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, Mun2 and Telemundo (the latter on a tape delay), came in with an 18.8 household rating and 27 share, according to figures from Nielsen Media Research.

In total viewers, President Obama’s recent press conference marking his first 100 days in office was down 29% from his March 24 press conference televised across 11 networks, and down 42% from his first press conference Feb. 2 that aired on eight networks.

But don't baffle them with facts- they're still Bargaining away their Denial and Depression- or reacting with Anger....And will wander in the wilderness blindly until they come to an Acceptance that the majority of the people of the country want a change from the neocon direction of the past 8 years...

Emotional Stages

1. Denial
2. Anger (at someone else-blaming others)
3. Bargaining
4. Depression (at self)

The fact is that Fox stated that they saw ratings dropping, when it came to Obama's press conferences, and chose to air something else.

They made $$$ off of advertisements.

They made a good business decision. If it had gone the other way around, they would have made a bad business decision!

"No conspiracy here, move away folks, nothing to see here, just the facts!"

2. Anger (at someone else-blaming others)
3. Bargaining
4. Depression (at self)

OT, I want to challenge you to being able to make 10 consecutive posts here that don't include the words, "BUSH" or "Neocons". :)

I'm a history buff  And like to analyze qualitative data by comparison- and the Bush administration is the nearest in history to compare to.....

What in the hour was worth hearing?? 13 weak a** questions from a media that is bound & determined to convince everyone that this is the greatest thing since sliced bread[ notice I did not say white bread] . The GNP falls to a point that no one suspected, no one in this wonderful administration has a clue how to fix except tell the bond holders of Chrysler that they are greedy to expect any return on their investment & how the White house press corp will ruin them personally. Really something anybody wants to listen to. Mash reruns for the 1000th time are better than listening to a Chicago Mob wanna be.

Maybe when he is shown the door we might see a person willing to give a hand up rather than a hand out
