Two Agriprocessors supervisors arrested
Two supervisors from Agriprocessors Inc. were arrested Thursday for allegedly aiding and abetting the possession and use of fraudulent identification by workers at the kosher processing plant, according to press reports over the weekend.
Martin De La Rosa-Loera and Juan Carlos Guerrero-Espinoza were taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. The Wall Street Journal reported that Guerrero-Espinoza also has been charged with aiding and abetting "aggravated identity theft."
On May 12, ICE agents arrested 389 Agriprocessors workers determined to be in this country illegally, most of them from Latin America.
No criminal charges have been filed against the plant's owners.
