$1450 to haul the 220 miles to Williams Lake with a tridem trailer. $145.00 per hour is the rate for the backroads.
Silver, I think I would be finding a different hauler.
Well, problem is there are only so many haulers. When these guys can deck off their liner, pin on a lowbed and make $250 / hr in the patch for as many hours as they can handle we end up feeling fortunate there are any people at all who will haul cattle. No one hauls by the mile here unless they are going way south. It's by the hour and you pay both ways. Ah well, small price to pay for doing what we love in the best place there is to do it
Oh, it turns out I exaggerated a bit. According to my slips we paid between about $1050 and $1,150 per load this year. Turns out I was bitchin' about nothin'!
