MILWAUKEE - Protesters crowded the street outside Messmer Preparatory School in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood as Governor Walker visited the school Friday to read to children.

The protests came just hours after someone vandalized the school ahead of the Governor's visit.

"Some of these folks super glued our front doors at the prep school," said Br. Bob Smith, OFM, the president of Messmer Catholic Schools, about the school on the corner of North Fratney and East Burleigh Streets.

He told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that a woman was walking in front of the school Thursday, asking people to protest.

According to Br. Smith, one protester said " 'Get ready for a riot,' because they were going to disrupt the visit."

Br. Smith said that, in his opinion, the Republican governor's visit to read to students there on Friday was not about political overtones connected to protests that have been happening all year in the state regarding the rollback of collective bargaining rights for many public workers.

"People ought to start acting like adults," said Br. Smith.

"You've got little kids who have no clue what you're even talking about, and you make something political when it isn't, that's just flat-out wrong."

UNIONS have proven they will stop at nothing to retain their power and it matters not to them who they USE. This time it scareing school children, a couple weeks ago it was risking people by cutting phone lines to a hospital and police station and during the healthcare townhall meetings it was threatening handicapped and elderly.

The WI teachers proved they will do anything to stop Walker when they were filmed and seen on National TV recieveing FAKE DOCTORS SLIPS to excuse their calling in sick to attend a riot at the Capital building so why should anyone be surprised they and their supporters would picket a school and use frightened school children to force their interest with the public. People like this should be locked up, but if they were Obama's lacky Holder would probably drop the charges to buy back support for the Dems. Trumpka warned Obama he and his union might not be supporting him in 2012 so look for lots of UNION FAVORS to shore up that very inportant voting block. Obama side stepped a congressional vote on the Dream Act and signed back door amnesty for illegals to shore up the latino vote, can you imagine what he will do to shore up the UNION VOTE. :roll: :x

It looks like the majority of these kids are black and the children look very well behaved and polite. The school appears to be doing a good job a teaching these kids
