Good photo action story, Jassy. So, were you just standing out in the pasture taking pictures, or were you wearing a coat of armor?

Years ago, one of our calves hung up like that in a summer pasture tank, and he didn't survive.

Thanks for the photos.

Those geese seem to be walking on water. With all the hoarfrost and fog this this be a rainy spring. :)

That cow is just very maternal. :) I would almost rather have that ,than one that goes off and leaves her calf for half a day at the mercy of whatever comes through.

P. S. your son's Cats are still in the tourney. How's he liking KSU ? I will be going back there for a judging team reunion on April 24th. I'd like to meet him.

I have all ideays the cow wonted that dog. I like a protective mama. She will raise a calf. When I got my king ranch pickup I had a dog in the back and one of my horny heads butted a few demples in the bed before I could leave the seen and get a pic of the calf.

Even from atop that flatbead, that bellerin' cow probably had the adrenalin levels inflated in the kindly gentleman doing the tagging. I imagine it wasn't his first time around the block...

Glad ya'll enjoyed the pics...the dog...is the least of that cows worries..knowing the dog, I'm positive that she'd rather be anywhere but there..lol

Acutally I was sitting in another pickup...no way was i gonna get out with that mama on the hunt!

Funny thing happened today Lilly,,after hubby saw the picture of himself...he trimmed his beard! I had been telling him that he looked a little scruffy..lol

That old stacker had seen many a stacks in it's day. If it weren't for lack of summer help for a stacking crew...we'd still be stacking today. Hubby really misses those days..
