My hard-working family filled in and allowed me to go galavanting this afternoon to the Black Ranches Nine Iron bull sale at Antioch, Nebraska.

At the Black Ranches Nine Iron bull sale

There were about a hundred Angus bulls, 55 black composites of Angus/Gelbvieh/Simmental breeding and 10 red composites of the same.
The bulls had great quality and were in just right condition to show eye appeal but still be ready to go to work. The bulls sold for respectable
but affordable prices, and they all sold.

It was a well-run event which took just a few minutes over two hours to accomplish selling all the bulls and 13 saddle horses.
Three or four bulls were admitted to the ring at one time, and the bidder bought choice or as many as they wanted for that price.
Then the bidding started again until all of the bulls in the ring were sold.

Ten red bulls sold.

It is a very nice sale facility with a bit of extra glamour.

He gave a pretty good talk.

Another horse selling in the ring.

The hospitality and food were wonderful.

There was plenty of extra flair with the decorative surroundings.

With even some beautiful babes in the belfry.

It was just a fun event all the way around.

I counted at least 66 in the herd.
