Spent the afternoon at the 24th annual Farm show in Plentywood MT.
Probably one of the smallest farm shows around but have very good support from long time participants and show goers. The Northern Broadcast team from Billings was in attendance. Had a great time with my friend John Pulasky. At the show and afterwards at banquet and beyond. Nuf said. Taylor Brown was the guest speaker at the banquet and I had a good discussion with him on the state of the industry and our mutual friends.
Rod Tande is the MC for the show and banquet he was happy to hear that I knew our very own Northern rancher and I am sure if we had more time he could have informed me with more stories about NR then i ever could have typed. Rod's wife Charlie just shook her head when I mentioned his name.

No she wasn't along. They needed somebody to hold down the fort in Billings. It was Taylor, John ,Rocky and I think Ben the news guy. They mentioned her when he introduced the others. John says when he comes to Plentywood it's like coming home. We had a hoot with him. Closed down the Blue Moon. :D

Been there, done that a few times- but that was many a year ago...

I've met Taylor and Russell Nemetz a few times-- closed up the local Elks Club at an impromptu going away party for Rick Haines when he moved over west....I used to see John Lockie quite a bit when he was with them, since he is originally from this country -- just south of the River....Never met John Pulasky, altho I do enjoy listening to his weather forecasts and explanations of the weather systems...

A story was told about Ed Smith and a friend were in town having coffee at Randy's and reading the paper. In the trivia part Ed's friend read that Lions make love 16 times a day.
Ed lets out a groan.
His friend asks what's wrong?

Ed says I just joined the ELKS.
