Instructor and Livestock Judging Team Coach
Iowa State University's Department of Animal Science is seeking
candidates for the position of Lecturer in Animal Science with
responsibilities in undergraduate teaching and academic advising. This
is a 9-month, full time, non-tenure track appointment with the
possibility of renewal based on need, funding, and satisfactory
performance.
Responsibilities include: Coaching the ISU Intercollegiate Livestock
Judging Team, teaching a course in livestock evaluation, involvement
with introductory animal science laboratories, and recruitment and
academic advising of undergraduates in Animal Science and Pre-veterinary Medicine.
Required Qualifications: M.S. in animal science; livestock evaluation
and coaching experience; demonstrated evidence of effective teaching and communication skills, and willingness to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications: Background with livestock production systems
and exposure to the broad industries of beef, sheep and swine
production.
Position Available: December 15, 2006
Salary and Benefits: Commensurate with qualifications
