My bad NR, I missed your point. Hockey is a great sport, but you may be surprised to learn US sports enthusiasts think the sun revolves arround the big revenue sports. BTW the new Canadian sport is....HOOPS. Canadian Steve Nash is going to pull a 3peat on NBA MVP.

Wouldn't it be cool if Captain Canada pulled it off-Steve Nash is a pretty class act compared to some of the other guys in the league. Ohh I'm not surprised that Hockey hasn't taken off down south but it's still the big deal up here lol. I'm taking my daughter and friend to an evaluation camp tomorrow in fact-I'm a real rink rat lol.

Nash is the real deal - plays the game the way it should be played, and doesn't beat his wife or sling dope or have original gangster thugs for an entourage. Its not entirely fair to paint the NBA as thugs, but its sure nice to have Nash.

Do you guys play mostly indoors? Is the legendary outdoor hockey from a bygone era?

We practice on the outdoor rinks and the kids play shinny on them all the time. It's pretty cool when guys come home from major junior and head down to the rink and play posts with the peewee's. You should come up for a visit Brad and I'll immerse you in the hockey culture for a weekend road trip. I'm fortunate that I've been involved with it for getting on to 40 years. Pretty excited right now one of Ty's old teammates is in the Canadian Midget AAA National Finals-he's a great kid-was a pleasure to coach and hope he does well. Anybody near Red Deer,Alberta should go watch the Telus Cup it's great hockey.

In my opinion Midget hockey is THE best hockey out there....love watching that age group team-up and go for the gusto

NR I'd love to visit, I'm pretty slammed right now. Next winter could be a go. glad to hear its true about the outdoor hockey. Its so pure sounding like a kid in Indiana shooting hoops in the hayloft or Cubans playing baseball.
